Help- Is this a bedbug?

Currently staying for one night only in a studio/ airbnb in a very nice and new building in a European capital (not Paris). It looks very clean. Excellent reviews and not cheap. I had in my mind the whole bedbug problem in Paris (and I would have preferred to stay in a hotel but nothing in that neighbourhood) so as I was unpacking, I looked through the crisp white bedsheets. Suddenly I saw a tiny insect running! I killed it, but didn't crush it entirely and took photos. Could this be a bedbug? I am googling and perhaps this is too long? I looked and nothing else visible...

In the second photo the insect is on its back and you can see it's legs.

Anyone with bedbug experience?

Looks like a silver fish. Bedbugs are more round.

MyBedIsMySpiritualHome · 17/10/2023 21:21

Not a bedbug

Brenna24 · 17/10/2023 21:22

It looks too long and thin to me. Bed bugs are like wee, mobile, slightly flattened apple pips.

Silverfish.

But do check along the mattress ticking, around the headboard etc. And don't put your bag on the floor.

There is a kind of moth that looks like that

Thank you for the quick response everyone!
Can it be silverfish without tail and antennas? Its colour is transparent/ creamy with a tiny brown.
I assume silverfish don't bite? Just googling about it now!

Trigger warnings insect photos Bedbug & Silverfish.

@lovecafeaulait If you’d half quashed the silver fish you could have rubbed off its extremities such as legs and antennae.

Do you sometimes go on the Lose It! Threads? Your username looks familiar.

Its not a bed bug but could be a flea

lovecafeaulait · 18/10/2023 22:00

Thanks again. Thankfully I slept very well and didn't see/ feel anything and left the studio in the morning.
