How do you organise your 'Mum stuff'?

I'm a new mum with a 10 week old baby. I'm EBF so I spend a lot of time sat in places around the house. The problem I've got is that wherever I am, I don't seem to have what I need! I've taken to using a shopping bag to carry things like my water bottle, clean muslins, nappy cream, my book and phone etc from upstairs to downstairs in the mornings while also carrying my little girl but it's less than ideal!

Has anyone found a more practical solution?

I use a nappy caddy that I got from home bargains but you can get them from lots of places.

A little nappy caddy with nappies, wipes, change of vest and baby grow, nappy cream. One in the living room and one in the bedroom.

I never really did that. Why do you need nappy cream where you sitting for example?
I always changed every nappy at home upstairs in baby room on changing table.

Living room had folded Muslin and I just made cup or tea or glass of water next to sofa before I sat down to feed.

I just went to the room something was in rather than carry every thing around

Nappy caddies on every floor stocked with everything for baby in (we were in a townhouse when DC were born so that was 3 caddies with nappies/wipes/muslins/nappy cream etc in each)

Phone in pocket, books via kindle app on phone. Didn't carry a water bottle round the house, I think I mostly tended to bf in the same chair during the day so just left a drink next to that.

The other option is a sling to carry baby and free up your hands. I wasn't a great lover of babywearing but it works well for lots of people.

I had a changing mat and caddy type thing on each floor too.

Have a charger with an extra long cable near to your bed and also one downstairs.

I tended to BF pretty much in one place too so would have things near to that.

Baby will be fine in s bouncy chair or on a play mat for the time it takes you to fetch a kindle and a water bottle Wink
