Best smelling surface cleaner

I keep looking at purdy and fig adverts and being very tempted by the promise of nice smelling house! It's just too expensive though - or is it worth it?

But please recommend me a lovely smelling cleaning or in fact anyway to make my house smell lovely. I light candles but the smell doesn't last!

Thank you!

Marks and spencer do spray surface cleaners that smell great , I have used the blue one which I can’t remember what the scent is called and a pale orange one which is apricot and orange
smells lovely , and not expensive

I use the method rhubarb as its a great cleaner but I am not sold on the smell

For those of you who love it The white company does a rhubarb scent that smells just like it

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 14/10/2023 10:24

Method. I like Rhubarb and the orange one for the kitchen.

Purdy and Fig just seems to be essential oils in water as far as I can tell.

MyCircumference · 14/10/2023 10:24

method, orange
occasionally on special offer

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 14/10/2023 10:27

I buy big 2 litre refill bottles of Method on Amazon and decant. Works out cheaper.

I use purdy and figg both the kitchen and bathroom cleaner and love both. Some of the scents linger longer than others, currently using the autumn scents just now lavender and camomile and I have juniper and cardamom which I haven’t tried yet but the lavender and camomile is really lovely and not as harsh smelling as some supermarket cleaners. I use it all round the house when cleaning.

jollyjeffrey · 14/10/2023 10:50

Grapefruit method

hardknocklifeforme · 14/10/2023 11:49

I love the mint Method one. It’s for glass but I use it on worktops too as it doesn’t leave any streaks.

MrsDanversChickenSandwich · 14/10/2023 11:51

I disliked the Method rhubarb spray. Was glad when the bottle was finished.

Method Pink Grapefruit is the one.

MrsDanversChickenSandwich · 14/10/2023 11:53

And I like the Method almond wooden floor cleaner. Your home will smell of frangipane after using it

I loved the m and s apricot cleaner and it was so cheap. Haven't seen it for ages though.

I like the method rhubarb and ineos rhubarb and pomegranate spray.

MorrisZapp · 14/10/2023 12:25

I second the blue Marks and Spencer one, it's gorgeous and v good value.

HappiestSleeping · 14/10/2023 14:37

Orange cleaner from screwfix or toolstation for me. It's a great general purpose spray cleaner, natural ingredients and good degreaser too.
