Lids - so boring but ahhh!

I have sooo many lids for pots and pans in my kitchen but nowhere to store them. My kitchen is a bit crammed full anyway. I keep my pots and saucepans on shelves but the lids don't really fit as well/take up too much space - the pots all fit inside each other.

I bought some lids stands to keep them in the utility room on top of the washing machine but they still took up too much space and were inconvenient to boot.

Where do people keep their lids? Maybe I can be inspired.

Sorry so dull 🥱

Inside a cupboard door ? On nails on a wall? In a slot made by drawer dividers?

In a deep drawer with the pans.

In a deep drawer with the pans.

This is what I do. I’m having a new kitchen installed in a couple of weeks and I’m having mainly deep drawers rather than cupboards as they hold so much more things.

The lids I have a problem with is for plastic food cartons! I try to keep them in a small storage box in the drawer with the containers, foil, silicon bags etc but it gets in such a mess! I am trying to think of a better method for me new kitchen.

Thank you!

I already have deep drawers but they are already full with other things; mixing bowls, ovenproof dishes etc

. I probably need to go through and chuck stuff to be honest! 😏

Get some racks/lid holders to put on the inside of your cupboard doors? If you Google pan lid storage, you'll see load of ideas!

I'm yet to find a solution that works. I've tried inside cupboard door holders which would be the best thing for my kitchen but they can't hold the weight of the lids. I do have a saucepan lid rack but tbh it takes up far to much space. Some people suggest screwing into your cupboard doors but I worry they just won't hold the lid's weight as per the stick on holders.

I keep the lids on the pans turned over so you can stack another pan

Could it be ... that you have too many? I cook a lot and manage with three saucepans, a frying pan and a wok. I have a few mixing bowls, but they stack and the lids are in a pile underneath.

I have gradually streamlined ... like clothes, it's better to have less and be able to see what you have.
