Lowest of the low

I have just removed a "well washed" mouse from the rubber seal of my washing machine after a tissue made it's way in and in removing that, I discovered the mouse.

How long have I been washing clothes alongside this dead mouse? Was the mouse dead when it went in? It feels like I've truly reached the lowest of the low.

Our house is chaotic with 3 children under 5, 2 cats (99% sure they are in part to blame) a dog and the countryside on our doorstep. But today I have reached the lowest of the low.

Has anyone got any stories of a similar nature to cheer me up?

Dear God. 🤮
That rivals the poor pp who pulled her washing out of the laundrette machine and found she’d washed her clothes with someone else’s soiled sanitary pad.

Not as bad as the woman who was dragging her wheelie bin and had a rat go up her arm!

I found a dead fossilised mouse in a frying pan in my cupboard.

Getting my shopping bags out in the supermarket and finding cat sick in one?

The cats are 100% to blame for your mouse, and it was obviously very clean so I wouldn’t worry.

I think if it had been washed a few times it would have started to disintegrate so hopefully just a one cycle mouse.

My brother was emptying crumbs out of his toaster and a toasted mouse fell out too.

A bad smell that got worse which turned out to be a half eaten bird under the bed courtesy of the cat.

I just found some hard poo in the seal of the washing machine. I knew the cat had pooped on a duvet cover, but I had assumed my daughter had sent the solids on their way via the toilet before it went in the washing machine. The machine is now on for a second wash with vanish and bio liquid. There will be words later

@AuditAngel you should never flush cat poo down the toilet.
Water and sewage systems in the UK aren’t designed to kill off this parasite, so by flushing your cat’s poop down the toilet, the parasite may enter the environment via waterways, and end up infecting someone if they come into contact with it. It can also harm aquatic wildlife.

My friend once found a dead frog in with her washing that had been through the washing machine and tumble drier. She was traumatised! She also blamed the cat.

We’ve gone from washing a mouse to coping with feeling low all the time.
