Yes, I have one and it is great. I have only had it since December but no problems with it whatsoever and you do get a longer warranty. Definitely go for it!

moodlumthehoodlum · 08/03/2008 21:24

i LOVE mine. not had a fault with it in two years, and as someone's already said, you get a really long warranty with it.

IdrisTheDragon · 08/03/2008 21:27

My mum and dad have one and they are very happy with it (suspect my mum is happier seeing as she uses it more ).

Sidge · 08/03/2008 21:50

YES! I got mine a few weeks ago and it's great.

Washes very well, quiet, easy to use and lots of useful programmes.

Only £299 with a 3 year warranty and free delivery. Fab.

nannyL · 08/03/2008 22:07

YES

I got mine 18 months ago

Its Fab! I love it and has a really long warentee as standard

The programmes arnt too long either

the 40c Cotton wash (the one i normally use) is 1 hour 8 mins, so it doesnt take too long, and it has a 30 min quick wash as well!

at the time i got it it had been recommended by Which, my friend had one and recommended hers and i recommend mine highly too

also i searched around online and found a £20 off john lewis voucher so i used that and got a bit mroe discount!

I got one in November, it was recommended by Which and has a long warranty. No problems with it so far. Because I had to get someone to sort out our plumbing - we did have a wm before but the installation was a disaster - it was actually quite helpful to be able to plan a delivery date which worked for our arrangements in advance. I think they will put it in to existing fittings though if you haven't had a previous disaster (and that was another reason I went for a name with a good rep for customer service - previous huge mistake).

I believe JL in-house brands are all actually made by pretty good manufacturers (like AEG and Bosch) but could be wrong (can't remember the source of this info!) so you're probably pretty safe with one.

We heart JL on MN!

suedonim · 08/03/2008 22:55

JL machines are made by Zanussi/Hotpoint, or they were at Xmas when I bought a new washer. I got a Bosch in the end as I'm not keen on Hotpoint stuff and have been v pleased with all other Bosch products.

Monkeybird · 08/03/2008 23:06

ah, I am mistaken then (not unusual)

nannyL · 09/03/2008 10:24

Im sure my JL washing machine (19 months old now) is made by AEG

nannyL · 09/03/2008 10:27

this is the one i have...

"Its theJLWM1201"

yes im right its made by AEG

Sidge · 09/03/2008 11:12

Apparently they are made by the same company that make Zanussi and AEG not Hotpoint. So pretty reliable and great customer service.
