Shower panels - will a plain colour show water marks?

Just that, really. I'm choosing between a plain coloured tile-effect and a very swirly-looking marble one. Will the plain one show water marks a lot more, does anyone know? We do live in a very hard water area...

A water softener is your friend. I have a Harvey one and it's fabulous.

Otherwise, kitchen roll dampened in white vinegar and stuck to the panels and dampened to stop them drying. Stick them for 30 minutes and you'll be good. Otherwise half a lemon dipped in salt and rubbed on the panel gently will keep it sparkly.

I can't comment on one colour over the other though.

We have very hard water. We have wood effect shower panels and they don't show any watermarks. Seams are well hidden in the pattern too.

A shower squeegee. 30 seconds after your shower massively cuts down on the need to clean.

Equal parts liquid dish soap and cleaning vinegar is great for side panels and glass doors.

Give the tiles a really good clean. (Make sure there is no limescale left.)
Polish it with car wax (obvs not on a floor section). Any water will be unable to bead and won't be able to cause marks.

Hope you don't mind me briefly hijacking your thread OP, but can I just ask the DIY experts already on this thread - is it possible to change a shower panel? I've googled it and all I can find is instructions on how to initially install one but there's already one installed. Can I not just add a new panel onto the existing hinge? Or does it not work like that?! 🙈
