Dishwashers - How many years do they last?

Ours is 7yo and is no longer working well... It was fine for the first 6 but now we have loads of problems... DH says he read that most last about 4 years... is that your experience.... am I lucky to have kept it that long.
I should say it's still sort of working but most cycles are cut short so the dishes are not great....

If its a Smeg then two years and about a day (that being the day after the guarantee runs out)

Not that I'm bitter..

7 years is pretty good

DH wants to buy a MIELE!!!! His mum only has Miele ! Current one is a Whirlpool.

Our Dryer and washing machines are also 7 YO and showing signs of aging, they'll need replacing too soonish

my dads dishwasher 'died' aged 22 last year (the door rusted off!)

it was honestly the best dishwasher i have ever used, ie cleaned EVERYTHING perfectly ALL the time. (was noisy during its last 15 years though!)

i think daily use for 22 year is pretty good going!

Mine is at least 10 and has only had to be fixed once for a wiring fault - it's a Bosch.

ours is also bosch - integeated one and is almost 4 years old. have needed 2 repairs so far

Our current one is a whirlpool.
