Shower curtains

How does everyone clean their shower curtains? Do you put them in the washer or will they melt?!
It's the standard white ones

Straight in the washer, tend to do ours once a month with a normal load... do not put in the tumble lol

I think mine said that ironing them would restore the waterproof finish, but I thought 'stuff that for a game of soldiers' and also 'life's too short'

As long as you are washing them at lower temps it will be fine. No boil wash obviously

I buy the polyester ones, they will cope with up to a 60C wash as I have put them in with my towels

Are they made of plastic or polyester, polyester copes with washing much better.

Washing machine. 40 degrees every so often but eventually they start letting water through so I end up have to get a new one about twice a year.

Saves me a job soaking and hand washing them!

Found a label!! They are 100% polyester so they are going in! I just assumed they would lose their water resistance
