How to clean filter coffee machine glass jug?!

Does anyone have any bright ideas about how to get rid of the scum behind the handle of my glass coffee machine jug? It’s come from putting it through the dishwasher. It’s only on the outside but looks disgusting. The handle doesn’t move / come off so can't get at it like that, it's sending me crackers!

I have a steam cleaner. It works for this is it's a jet that pushes the dirt out. Drove me nuts for a while too.

Maybe try soaking whole jug in slightly diluted white vinegar overnight? It’s my go to for kettle in same condition, although having recently installed a water softener the problem seems to have gone away.
