Laundry..strange stain

I had washed my husband’s shirt. Dried. I was ironing it when I noticed a hard red ball about 1mm on his shirt. I tried to get it off with my nail but all that happened was a creation of a red mark. I tried to spot clean it with vanish bar soap. It did not work . I put it in the machine again . It’s still there.
Any ideas as to what it is and how I can get it off ?

Red Biro?

It could be an insect splattered it's guts, and you get that rusty red blob.
I'd try ink stain remover.

Spider shit. Leaves a rusty looking stain.

Napisan get most stains out, usually found in the baby aisle.

Tippex over it.

Soak the whole shirt in vanish it will brighten it up and get rid of the red mark.

It has been soaked. Rewashed . Stain still there.

Nail varnish remover?

I have tried Vanish bar, fairy, soaking in Vanish p powder solution, methylated spirit. It is in the machine for the 3rd time.

Looks like a squashed bug of some sort. I would suggest fairy but failing that try drying in bright sunlight if you can.

This is it after 4 washes and a good scrubbing fabric on fabric with Fairy
