I need to buy a bed and have a spare for my dd. are bunk beds a good idea as they are growing up, or is a single bed going to last them longer. also what is best - bunks or a bed with a pull out on underneath? she still likes to come into our bed at night, so not sure i like the idea of her climbing down a ladder when she is sleepy to come into ours. Also, who does the best and best value beds. beds that will last, rather than crappy jobs that just about hold together? mumsnetters are experts on these things. Please let me hv yr advice. tks

Aspace have some beautiful truckle beds and are excellent quality.

pottleflump - i hv seen their catalogue. gorgeous. but sooo expensive. I asked them how much it would cost to get bunk beds assembled, for example, and that is £100 alone never mind the £180 or so for each mattress and the the cost of the beds. blimey.
