Damp towels gross me out

Does anyone share my loathing of damp towels. Especially when they have a damp whiff. I can’t bear to dry myself on one after a lovely hot shower. My husband leaves his scrunched up, so it doesn’t dry properly….it grosses me out. I love autumn, but loathe the fact it’s harder to dry towels as the heating isn’t on. Would love to hear from fellow damp towel haters. Please tell me I’m not alone!!

Airing cupboard? Heated towel rail? Tumble dryer?

Heated towel rail only on when heating is on …. Don’t have an airing cupboard…. I think I need to find the setting on my dryer that will do just 10 mins and then my towel is back to doing it’s job! Thanks

Yes, your tumble dryer should have a quick setting. A warm towel straight from the dryer is absolute bliss!

You can get an electric element for towel rails, for using during summer months.

Yanbu. No one likes a damp towel. The end.

I hate them too.

I have my own towel that I look after and hang out to dry whenever I can.

Everyone else who doesn't make any effort to dry theirs can suffer the mouldy smell

We have a banister rail along the landing. Ours dry really well over the rail.

If we have guests, I hang them on hooks in the linen cupboard and switch on a small free standing heater I have in there just for an hour.

We put ours over the bannisters as well. They always dry by the next day, regardless of whether or not the heating is on.

This, we have a towel radiator which has room for 2 bath sheets and when we bought them went for the electric element. It is on a timer so that it heats the towel rail in summer to dry the towels as I cannot stand damp towels either. We have one in our en-suite and the children have one in their bathroom.
