Hello All, just wondering if anyone has any tips for cleaning stair handrails as I have tried A LOT of different things and while they end up looking clean, they still feel a bit sticky to the touch (if that makes sense?) same with the area around door handles, DH and DC are incapable of using the actual handle 🙄and seem to touch the door around the handle, I can clean the dirt off but it still feels sticky.

Ta :)

That elbow grease spray is good
Or make a soda crystal solution as it degreases too

I just use kitchen cleaner, spray it on and then wipe down with a warm, wet cloth.

I clean paintwork with normal kitchen spray, then wipe it again with a damp microfibre cloth. Some cleaning products feel sticky if there is a residue.

To minimise the dirt, make sure everyone is washing their hands often enough, especially when they come in from work or school.

thanks everyone.... i really don't even understand why it is so grimy as its 1 DC who isn't particularly grubby 😂will have a go at wiping away the residue and see if that helps. Cheers 😀
