Where do you keep your heated airer?

I love my heated airer, but last winter we had it in what is now my office which I will be using 2-3 times a week.

Is it bad if I still use it in there while sitting in the same room all day?
Last winter I was able to leave the small window open to help with ventilation - I'm not sure how I could cope with icy wind blasting down on me.

Our living room/dining room is fairly open plan so I'd prefer not to have it there where the clothes could pick up cooking smells.

I found that the clothes didn't dry particularly well in the cold garage. Our hallway is fairly narrow so we'd constantly be bumping into it.

Ours is just up in our lounge, bloody eyesore and although it dries the clothes quicker than a non-heated one, it's still up for 24h+ at a time, by the time it's emptied there's another load ready to go on. Really hate laundry through winter (ambitiously put a load on the line today only to watch it get soaked as I've sat on calls this afternoon) it's just crap!

We have a dehumidifer as well, it takes the moisture out of the air. That makes it feel warmer, stops mould, plus the dehumidifier releases a tiny bit of heat that can make quite a big difference to working in a small room in winter.

I live in a small house with basically 1.5 box room bedrooms - the airier lives in the smaller one, which otherwise just has storage stuff in it. I either have the window open or a dehumidifier running when it's on. Wet washing kicks off loads of water into the atmosphere and it's either got to go outside or it's going to end up in your furniture/walls!
