Integrating my dishwasher

Hi MNers

I've just moved house and want to replace the semi-integrated Bosch dishwasher with my (newer) one. It's an Ikea panel, can I just pop the metal front panel off my newer dishwasher and screw the Ikea wooden panel on in its place? Or do I need to find a dishwasher that's made specifically to be integrated?

Hope someone can help.

Thanks
Char

i think you need to have an integrated dishwasher to put a cover panel on it. Could you replace the semi-integrated one with your newer one, even though you will see the dishwasher?

choufleur's right, you have to have one that's designed to be integrated - they come with a frame thing that the panel fits into - an ordinary one doesn't have the frame.

How old is the Bosch one? Does it work OK? Unless yours was very expensive and performs much better I'd keep the Bosch (they are v good and last for years) and sell your newer one.
