I'm really pleased with my electrolux bagless upright.
(The model escapes me right now)
It's not too heavy and is excellent.
It's so easy to empty and clean
I got this is a hurry from tesco recently because I bought a hoover one which was crap.

I have a dyson... I think it useless.

I had a little eelectrolux that is replaced, that was 10 years old, still plenty of scution, but had dropped it so many times the casing was all cracked.

I so regret getting the dyson...

amidaiwish · 04/03/2008 08:42

i had a dyson, useless.

now have a miele - fab.

roquefort · 04/03/2008 08:44

Sebo - recommended by repair man who said Dysons were keeping him in business.

SammyC · 04/03/2008 08:48

I had a dyson now got a henry, I love my henry, its much much better than my old dyson!!!

Mung · 04/03/2008 08:49

I wouldn't get another Dyson. I was also told by a repair man that Dysons were useless...although you know that. I have heard good things about the Miele and I keep my eye open for offers.

McDreamy · 04/03/2008 08:49

Not heard of Sebo, will look that one up. A friend recommended Miele this morning, might look into that. Any particular model amid?

Miele allervac - excellent hoover and has a dinky little light on the suction bit that goes green (starts red) when it thinks the floor is clean

Trix11 · 04/03/2008 08:51

Definitely a Henry - I actually dont mind doing the hoovering now since I replaced my Dyson with Henry.

itsahardknocklife · 04/03/2008 08:51

The only vacuum cleaner that I have had that lasted more than 6 months was a Dyson! I've had it 5 years now and it's still ok.
My mum swears by Henrys though, and she's a cleaning freak so she knows!

amidaiwish · 04/03/2008 08:52

mine is the solution hepa5000

my parents have the cat and dog one and love it too.

McDreamy · 04/03/2008 08:52

I've had 2 Dysons in 4 years

The Miele site recommends the HEPA 5280 for me. Think I might get that one.

amidaiwish · 04/03/2008 09:02

i can't remember why i chose my one. i have a mix of wooden floors and carpet, no pets, no allergies.

i then went on price i think.

McDreamy · 04/03/2008 09:03

Oh pants amazon won't deliver it to a BFPO address

Whooosh · 04/03/2008 09:04

SEBO!

Life changin hoover-never had a single problem with mine in 5 years and it is used several times a day.
Suction is great-almost pulls you along.

You won't regret it-John Lewis sells them.

cremolafoam · 04/03/2008 09:05

McDreamy · 04/03/2008 09:06

cremolafoam · 04/03/2008 09:07
Sad
brimfull · 04/03/2008 09:10

I hate my Henry although he sucks quite well,he is a lug to pull around and always getting tangled up in the lead.
I want a sebo.

McDreamy · 04/03/2008 09:11

Now you gone and got me all confused - Miele oe Sebo?

OP posts:
brimfull · 04/03/2008 09:12

My MiL is a clean freak.

She tested loads of vacuums and said sebo was the best.I believe her...you should see her house.

Troutpout · 04/03/2008 09:13

i have a Miele Hepa 5280
I think i love him
He has such clever storage (all tucked away inside..and he holds his tuby thing upright..and he sucks so hard he pulls up the carpet
..i've just written hoover porn!

Had i dyson before and he was shit
lol..nothing like the same suckage

Buda · 04/03/2008 09:14

Isn't there a Dyson trial going on here? I think some MNrs are trying Dysons out at the moment. Shouldn't you Dyson-unhappy people be giving feedback on the Dyson thread?
