Cleaning vases - dishwasher?

I know, it’s a super exciting topic.

We have the magic balls for decanters, and normally I just scrub them with an old dish scrubby sponge, but I’m in a rush to get the house looking nice. Is it ok to dishwasher them? It’s a Freddie’s Flowers one and they say it will go cloudy and the heat might be too much, but if the dishwasher can wash a normal glass then surely a glass vase is the same?

I stick all sorts of vases* in my dishwasher, including FF ones. I am happy to take risk of them going cloudy, but no issues yet after plenty of times.
*Watch out for coloured ones, they are often coated.

Do be a bit careful with your programmes though. We recently got a new dishwasher, and a glass bowl that had been through our old dishwasher a hundred times came a cropper - presumably it was a hotter programme.

Thanks. I’m happy to chance it going cloudy - put it on a glass setting and hoping for the best!
