What is the most effective way to remove grease from kitchen tiles? Previous occupant must have been deep-frying 24/7. Every surface in the kitchen is sticky 😭

Sugar Soap or Elbow Grease (literally a product called this) work well on grease.

Someone once told me old-fashioned, scented baby wipes. Not great for landfill, but they have done a beautiful job, as a one-off!

Sugar soap.
I removed 10 years of grease and nicotine from my Sister’s bathroom tiles, walls and radiator with it. It was like toffee 🤢

I've got sugar soap and have not found it any good. I actually wonder if it's not the same stuff that it used to be because I know decorators used it traditionally to prepare surfaces

Elbow grease is good to be fair. I do have that.

I'm thinking of trying oven cleaner. Any thoughts on this?

Sugar soap should work but if not any of the following should get it off: Star Drops Vinegar spray, Elbow Grease spray, Astonish Specialist Extra Strength Grease Lifter or tub of The Pink Stuff.

Mmmmpavlova · 11/09/2023 23:16

The Pink Stuff is great!
