Coats buggered - please help

Definitely the wrong area but I feel like nothing else fit? I bought this coat last year, washed it for the first time ready for winter while it's nice weather (obviously haven't worn it properly for months) and all the feathers inside have gathered in one area. How do I fix this? I checked the tag before washing and followed the instructions!

Tumble drier, it’s the only way to get decent feather distribution after washing

Tumble dry with dryer balls or a tennis ball. It's the only way to fix it.

Fuck lol I have no dryer balls. It's currently hang drying, will it be okay if I go get dryer balls in the morning and shove it in or will it be too late?

I think you’ll be ok without drier balls as I don’t own any and I’ve not had an issue getting feathers fluffed

I have tumbled, shake, tumble, shake x 100 a feather coat and it came out fine in the end.

Drier balls are optimum - just shove it in without.

Use tennis balls

It takes way longer than you think it is going to though. If in doubt put it on again- but not when you are in bed!

I've just checked the tag and it specifically says to tumble dryer with tennis balls 😳🤣

Thanks for this! I now know why my down coat came with a hard ball in a bag attached to the pocket. I had thought perhaps it was some sort of stress ball to stick your hand in your pocket and squeeze when people annoyed you 🤦
