Dirty Dishwasher help

New dishwasher and every time I use it I am left with this greasy film on the filter and salt cap. I've tried each cycle, I've changed the salt/rinse aid and used cheap tablets and expensive too brand ones. Plates come out ok but this is driving me insane! Any ideas? Thanks

Wipe underneath the door seal rubber, at the bottom under the lip, then run a dishwasher cleaner through it on hot and see if that clears it.
Have you emptied and washed the filter and lifted that silver plate thing that it sort of sits in?

What temp are you washing at? If it's too cold it doesn't get rid of the grease properly!

This has been my experience when I tried cooler or eco programs. I now don't bother with them and just use the Normal 70⁰ wash. Much better.

I also rinse the filter under hot running water every week and use dishwasher cleaner every two or three weeks (you've reminded me that it is due now, so I'll do it in the next couple of days).

I wash on eco wash and have never had this. I do take my filter out and wash it after every load, but the only thing on it is my chia seeds stuck in the fine mesh. No grease.
I do a dish washer cleaner every couple of weeks. I used fairy platinum tabs.

Thank you for all you suggestions. I have tried every wash cycle I think the heat element may not work as I haven't felt it get hot Blush and this would explain the greasy film. Thankfully it's under warrantee. Thx again I wouldn't have thought of that if it wasn't for your comments.

Does it steam when you open it at the end of the cycle? Even my shortest wash is steaming at the end.

No steam, everything is still wet!
