Spot cleaner for dry clean only sofa?

Stupidly I managed to buy a sofa in a dry clean only fabric. Using water to wipe off marks, even very carefully, takes the colour out of the fabric 😫

Does anyone have any suggestions for what I could use safely to clean marks off it? The covers aren’t removable so no way to take it to a dry cleaner.

You could try using the "magic sponge" thing, also called magic eraser, this thing acts like ultra-fine micro sandpaper (but that's a sponge!). Or the block that is used to clean suede shoes, that one is rubbery like normal school grade erasers.
I have dry-clean only blackout curtains and so far have successfully cleaned them with Vanish Gold Carpet Care & Upholstery Vacuum Up Foam - it smells dire but to my surprise hasn't ruined anything.

Vanish Gold Carpet Care & Upholstery Vacuum Up Foam

Vanish Gold Carpet Care & Upholstery Vacuum Up Foam removes 5x more dirt than vacuuming alone*, so you can revive tired and dull looking carpets.

Thanks! I have some magic sponge and might have the suede cleaner thing, will have a rummage and test somewhere not visible.

I feel like anything wet is going to cause the colour removal problem 🙁 blooming silly fabric for a sofa!!
