Work home balance suggestions

Hubby is due to start full time term only work this week, I already work full time and we have a 15mo and a 12yo. 12yo will be back in school soon and 15mo is starting nursery, neither of us have WFH facilities due to type of work.

We are planning on being super organised which let’s be honest will prob be a failure.

Any suggestions on how to make life as easy as possible? I’ve thought of the obvious like use the timer on the machine so washing is ready to go out before we leave in the mornings and prep tea/do lunch boxes night before etc. Wondering if anyone has any magical tips that have been life savers?

When you cook something like a curry or a lasagne, make two and freeze one. Take out of freezer as you leave for work.

Buy greeting cards, wrapping paper and keep with tape etc for last minute presents. Buy gifts in advance.

Consider setting up subscriptions for cleaning stuff/loo rolls/nappies etc.

@Cynderella that’s a good idea preparing two meals at the same time!

I’ve subscribed on Amazon for washing stuff, cleaning products and cat food. I’m thinking about getting milk delivered as that’s one of the pain things having to constantly pop into a shop on way home for milk!
