Hey all! EHM I'm another newbie, but very best of luck for monday.

I've had a fab FLYing day today - dh is here and people came round for lunch so it moivated me. Bathroom (except bath) s&s'd, DH cleared and cleaned kitched, tidied lounge, hoovered stairs. Now just need to wash dishes, and food shopping. But the house is TIDY!!!

I have just been into town to buy my mothers Day pressie (s) Dh came home late from work and explained that he hadn't had time to go into town to get me anything...and that it would be better if I chose anyway but still I guess that is better than nothing bless him!

I bought a new mirror for the top of my chest of drawers (which I use as a dressing table) I bought some extra comfy slipper type sock thingies and a new handbag.
We also got a new game for the Wii...Zelda..so I am looking forward to playing that this evening (will have to wait until the kids go to bed before I actually get a go I expect!)
Oh...and I bought a few items from bianca's shop...which were also for mothers day (that was my blag ... although I think he has forgotten he agreed to that )
I'm really looking forward to those [excited emoticon]... so all in all I did rather well!

Wow Luda You did do well. Enjoy all your new bits.
We still only have wii play. never got a spare penny for another one. Will have to try and get them one for easter.

Evening all

We are back and the boys are in bed. U have had some of my mothersday stuff - 40 lovley roses white and orange. There was enough for 3 vases. SO one in the lounge, one on the dinning table and one in my bedroom. Also a bunch of dafodils (my favs).

I am going to have a lie in and then pick my mum up and cook sunday lunch, then off to the inlaws with cards and pressies and dinner. So no flying planned, apart from the routines and maybe some ironing

Well as you can see my promised lie-in hasn't materialised....the kids all woke at about 6.40 and woke me up. Dh was in DD2's bed, as she woke up in the night and got into our bed and proceeded to kick dh so he got out. I sent them all in there, but they got grumbled at and told to all go back to bed for a bit
Obviously they didn't, they pestered me some more, so I yelled at Dh and he didn't answer...so whats the point! I got up and made brekkie instead.
I would be cross, but I completely expected that to happen.....I haven't had a lie-in for at least 2 years (honestly!)

So now I'm up, I shall have a nice bath, and stick a bit of washing on.

Jas I knew you would be in the same boat I always think our other halves sound very similar.
I actually don't mind too much really, the kids are all quiet, and the sun is shining, so it is quite a nice morning. I did get my lovely pressies yesterday too (even if he did send me to get them )
I played on Zelda until quite late, and he didn't moan about missing the football so I know he means well really.

Oooooh my washing machine is making a funny smell...like burning plastic

Had better turn it off and wait for DH to have a look....

Tothosewhosekidswakeupearly They will become teenagers eventually! I'm the only one up and it is lovely and peaceful.

I think dh has bought a card and he gave me a mixed bunch of carnations (forgetting that I don't like yellow and similar colours - so all those have been given to a neighbour). He has work to do today so I'm going to try to go out with the kids so that he has some peace to do it. I've not been on MN much recently as our w/m broke and I've been going to the launderette which was fab as I could put three or four machines on at once but it was one thing extra in my week iykwim.

I'm afraid I must make a list or I'll forget. To do:-
~ go through my list of reminders on Outlook - 10 of them! They're mostly b/ds though so it should be fairly easy. How come there are so many birthdays in March?
~ take the kids and dog out (and A, I guess) for most of the day
~ do food shopping
~ get ready for a meeting tomorrow.

Oh dear luda, that doesn't sound good! There is lots of advice on the web if it isn't mentioned in the manual you have. We'd hoped it was a replaceable part with ours but unfortunately it wasn't or didn't seem to be and we thought it wasn't worth repairing. I hope it turns out to be something minor for you.

I have been awake since 7am but then breakfast was brought oin bed by dd1 and then she took the little two down for yoghurt and then I just snoozed for a little while and then they cam up and played in the bedroom with me but I was HORIZONTAL AND COMFY AND WARM

awake but still in bed is amzing for me
she gave me a lovely card too

Oh not rubbing things in but I got a lie in too and also was given some lovley locinatine cherry perfume and a gift bag from the boys and three home made cards (one from the cat). DH alsways makes an effort I suppose it is due to the many years it took to become a mother and our giving up, before the boys cam along.

We've all been awake for ages but I have been treated to breakfast in bed and a nice long bath with new smellies from dd

Dh has booked lunch out but we're both so full of a horrid head-cold we're thinking of cancelling and having a lazy day at home instead... feel a bit bad about it but I really don't feel well enough to go out today. Dd is going to be gutted so prehaps we'll re-arrange for next weekend.

NumberOneFan only 6 more years for me to wait for a lie-in then!

Dh has gone to work now, so can't look at the washing machine. I have tried it again but on a different cycle...maybe something is getting too hot somewhere (no idea!)

Well I have had a nice bath, and done my hair in my new mirror!
Just off out for a walk, have to sell a pile of raffle tickets for the Cawl a Chan on Wednesday, so thought I might knock a few doors of people I know in the hope of shifting some (hate selling raffle tickets!)I have bought about 6..just to try and get rid!

Oh Pants...not off out for a walk...pushchair is in the boot. Absolutely no way I'm taking DD1, DS and DD2 out without the pushchair! I spend more time waiting for DD2 to get out of people's gardens, chasing her out of the road, trying in vain to get her to hold my hand and generally having to have eyes in the back of my head!.....

DH popped in from work, and we all decided to go for a walk through the forest....kids are driving me bonkers!

Back to the house, DD2 has zonked out, DD1 is pestering to play with the guinea pigs and DS is running about semi naked!
Washing needs putting away, guinea pigs need cleaning out, hoovering needs doing...list is endless really!

I go two from dd2 (she's a real mummy's girl) made at school nd Brownies.
DD1 lost the one she made a Brownies, but they both painted tea towels and gave them to me . I have to remember to iron them again before I wash them.

DP has finally put up the last of the plasterboard (it was in the dining room, getting in the way) which is better than a present. I've tidied and hoovered in here, as I have the exta space, and also spent some time decluttering cupboardsand making space for dps 400 National Geographic magazines which have been in the bathroom for months.

We didn't go out for lunch, but took the kids swimming and had a nice lunch at home
I don't think dh and I have what dd had - she was really sick but we're just coldy and headachy.

We've been out in the garden for the past few hours having a huge tidy up - it's looking much better now and set for spring to arrive I'd forgotten quite how much I enjoy gardening.

Dh and I have been getting on really well and I'm feeling pretty

Ds has been a PITA though - I have no idea what's wrong with him these days he's really moody and never does as he's asked He and I have had to come in from the fun in the garden as he was constantly being naughty.

as I was writing that ds disappeared off upstairs and I've just found him trying to climb out of an upstairs window to get back in the garden!! Silly boy!!

I'm running the kids a bath now so not long till bedtime....
