Brushed brass taps! How to clean the buggers...

I've moved into a house with beautiful brushed brass taps in the bathroom. I've tried cleaning them with my usual microfibre cloths, but they still don't come up clear - smudges and watermarks. Any ideas how to get them looking as good as they deserve?! Thanks.

What I can tell you is don't use Viakal - it'll make your taps come up beautifully shiny, but eventually it will ruin the brushed brass effect!

Good to know! I'm after a cloth I can use to buff them up and take off water marks. noted re the viakal!

I have dark copper colour brushed metal taps and I use a stainless steel spray and a microfibre cloth to clean finger marks off, they dont stay looking pristine for long though, I really need to wipe them after every use, but they do look lovely when theyre done
