Lily yellow pollen

Any ideas how to get a lily stain (pollen) off dress? Can be washed in machine

Have you tried putting it out in the sun? My husband got Lilly pollen all over our pale blue sofa a few years ago and when I looked it up online, found out the pollen is photosensitive and essentially dissolves in direct sunshine. Stain was gone in less than an hour

I second the sunshine thing - once managed to drop DH's favourite shirt onto a bunch of lillies, and it was COVERED in pollen. A day in the sunshine completely vanished it.

Yes, sunshine is brilliant for getting any organic stains out.

If I'm given lilies, I put them on the patio table 😆

Thanks all will try that. Can’t really have lollies with the cat but some friends brought them over at the weekend.

Don't rub or wet the stain. Try dabbing the pollen off with sellotape.

If you've got a cat you really ought to chuck them out. If even a tiny amount of pollen gets on their fur and they lick it off, it can be fatal
