Help me clean this sofa!

I've had this sofa for about 5 years, it's in great condition and I want to give it to the local furniture charity shop. I've scrubbed the arms endless times, but they always dry like the attached pic, and I've no idea what to do to fix this. Google has so much conflicting advice, and I don't want to follow some of it and make the stains worse. Anyone have any real life fail safe advice?

Try using a foamy fabric cleaner and get an old credit / loyalty card and very gently run it along the fabric .

It if the stains are just on the arms of the chair buy some throws to drape over the arms of the chair

Hello, have you tried Bicarbonate of Soda to get the stains out? or otherwise a local sofa shop may stock fabric sofa cleaner. Hopefully that helps

Look at Nancy birtwhistle on instagram she has loads of posts about cleaning things like this using natural ingredients.

I bought a tin of this for a car I sold a while back, I'd spilt pop on the passenger seat and it dried terribly even after cleaning. This stuff was amazing! Looked like new after. I know it says for cars but should work on any fabric surely. Sorry I've no idea of home remedies though.

They will likely clean it themselves, but if you want to do it, I recommend hiring a Rug Doctor with upholstery attachment.

Does the sofa have the fire labels? If not I doubt a charity shop can take it. I guess you could put it on ebay etc though.
