Cleaner for 3 hours - what to ask them to do?

Cannot keep on top of the small things at the moment so have a cleaner in to do a once off clean tomorrow. The house is tidy but the bathrooms need good scrubs and the floors and things but I cannot imagine it would take three hours and as it is costing me 90euro i want value for it. Never had a cleaner before so not sure what else to ask them to do?

I'd ask for damp dust of all skirtings and door frames, inside of all windows & mirrors, maybe corners of all rooms if cobwebs?, mop any hard floors, maybe clean kitchen cupboard doors and/or kick boards. Those kind of annoying things that don't get done very often in our house!

I'd ask for a deep clean of the bathrooms.
It will easily take 3 hours if done properly.

All the bits you hate, plus the bits that make an obvious difference. If she is doing a deep clean of some bits, other useful jobs that no one can actually be arsed to do might be

  • wash skirting boards
  • cobweb sweep up high
  • wash stair wood work and door frames
  • grout clean in kitchen and bathroom
  • window frames and black edges of window panes

Otherwise, things that make an obvious difference are hoovering, dusting (including lampshades, mirrors etc.

I'm assuming that she will start with the bathrooms and kitchen - those are the big bits anyway

I clean for a family member and in 3-4 hours I do a big bathroom, small bathroom, tidy and wipe down kitchen, change beds, vacuum and mop floor, dust and wipe regularly used surfaces and then windows if they need doing. They pay me £15 an hour

Three hours to deep clean a bathroom? Really?! I don’t think I could make it take over an hour if I took took the shower apart.

windows, blinds, changing the beds if they do that, skirtings, kitchen door fronts, inside of fridge?

Wow ok thanks so much. I always change the bedding every fortnight anyway so the beds are fine and one of the room is the guest room which I actually only sorted out recently so not a thing to do in there. The kids are not too bad in their rooms either so it would be a dust and vacuum job in the bedrooms. There are two bathrooms which could do with a decent clean and all floors so downstairs is wood and upstairs is carpet. I just feel like I am drowning at the moment and even the kitchen possibly needs more than the 'spit and a lick' its been getting recently.
