Help to clean saddle leather sofa

I'm hoping someone here can advise because Google isn't helping me out.

I have this sofa which is described as saddle leather. It seems to be more porous than 'normal' leather and subsequently has a number of small water marks that I can't shift.

I tried a leather cleaner spray in a hidden spot but that's left it stained darker so obviously don't want to use that on the visible marks.

Hoping someone else has a sofa in this material who can advise.

i would try saddle soap but do a patch test first. I’ll try and find a link. Also for my bridles and saddles you oil them. Which keeps them supple and I wonder if it repels water marks.
