Best way to clean textured floor tiles

In our kitchen and downstairs bathroom we have dark grey textured floor tiles with slightly recessed light grey grouting. They are a nightmare to clean. I’ve tried a steam mop and a flash speed mop which get them superficially clean but don’t get into the grouting or some of the texture of the actual tiles. I then resort to scrubbing on my hands and knees. Can anyone recommend something that works to save my poor knees!!

Bumping.

Same problem here...wish we'd never had them laid tbh.

Same here and never again. I use a scrubbing brush.

Could you use a sweeping brush/broom and dip it in the mop bucket, scrub, then mop to soak the excess water off?

Thanks. I was hoping for some miracle answer it gadget to save the scrubbing.

Scrubbing is the best way (sorry!)

I do it about 3 times a year and make sue I do a thorough job. In between I use a combo of

  • steam mop about once a week
  • robotic mop every day

It's not perfect but the tiles are dark, thank goodness.

It does look lovely just after a scrub, though!

There's a karcher floor cleaner that I'm tempted by but the reviews are mixed. We have the same and I'm thinking of getting a floor cleaning service in.

I bought the Karcher for this very problem. It was of limited success and then broke after a couple of years.

I've lowered my standards and use a scrubbing brush on a long handle every so often and pick up the dirty water with the Karcher (it still sucks up water ok)

I've looked at a Lakeland floor scrubber but it seems to be more pads than brushes / bristles. Once a year I'll scrub it but it takes HOURS!!

Mr Muscle professional floor cleaner. Dread to think what's in it as I've tried everything on mine and this stuff is the only cleaner that actually does it.

Think I might try a long handled scrubbing brush to save my knees a bit

OP please let us know if you find a solution!

Same! I have Amtico lvt and it's textured. Not supposed to use a steam mop on it and the emop doesn't get into the grooves. Wish I'd ordered a smooth tile now!
