HI

I have issues with keeping washing machine clean everytime i wash bedsheets or towel etc the drum has a residue of slime which i presume is the oil and bacteria from the linen.
I the have to do a hot wash with vinegar to remove this each time, its a bosch and it would appear its not cleaning properly, has anyone else had this issue ?
Its driving me mad.

What temperature do you was the bedding on? I was mine at 60 to kill off any bacteria but know that lots of people wash them at much cooler temperatures.

What temperature and what detergent?
Powder is better for keeping the drum cleaner as it contains bleaches that liquids and pods dont

I didn't know that demented. I've just bought some powder for our new machine.

residue of slime- in 40+ yrs and multiple machines and detergents, I have never seen this! How old is the machine? Have you emptied/cleaned the little flap thing at the bottom to let residue/liquid out?

Does anyone in the household use creams/body oils or have any reason to have some much slimy residue on sheets? Maybe an empty machine wash at the highest temp will help clear it.
