Stinky Fridge

Hoping someone can offer some tips!
I have an integrated fridge feeezer which is fully contained within the cabinets in the kitchen. To remove it would cause a significant amount of damage to the units and the flooring.
There is a very unpleasant smell coming from the fridge exterior. I think it’s from whatever is lurking in the drain hole. There is no unpleasant smell at all when you open the fridge door but when you walk into the kitchen, there’s an overpowering smell of sour milk which is embarrassing! The fridge is the only possible place it can be coming from.

I’ve phoned the manufacturer to see if they can offer any wise words and aside from trying to flog me a very expensive air freshener, they’ve no solution other than to pull the unit out altogether. Aaarghh!

Anyone had any similar issues? How did you resolve it?

TIA

If you are able to pull the fridge out there’s usually a drip tray that needs cleaned. I had the most awful smell which was located to here and it contained a substance what I can only describe as 20 year old cottage cheese.

Thanks for your reply. I have a feeling that there may be a substance resembling 20 year old cottage cheese in my drip tray but I cannot get the fridge out to inspect and clean it.
I need something to get rid of whatever is lurking or at least be able to neutralise the stink without having to wreck my kitchen by pulling the integrated fridge out of its cabinet!

Is the drain hole actually draining?

Mine clogs regularly but I got some flexible brushes on Amazon that I can shove down and that sorts it out.

I had this and I managed to clean it with tightly rolled kitchen roll
You could try cotton buds too

Thank you for the suggestions. I will give it a go as the smell in the kitchen is revolting!
