Why is my washing machine staining my daughter’s clothes?!

This is driving me mad, my washing machine keeps staining my daughter’s clothes with brown and bluey coloured splash like stains.
It’s a brand new machine. All the other washing comes out clean.
The machine’s brand new so it’s not that. I swapped from liquid detergent and comfort to bio tabs and that hasn’t helped.
I wash darks and lights separate.
I wash according to the labels (30 or 40 degrees).
I’ve tried quick washes, longer hot washes, coloured and synthetic washes.
I am literally going out of my mind as once the stain appears nothing will get it back out.
Any help much appreciated!

My bet is it's bubble mixture.

Strange one. Do you use fabric softener? I’m pretty sure that’s stained some of my stuff in the past.

Something that oxidises. Does she eat pears? Other fruit?

Following with interest as I’ve had the same thing!

That's the bearings going

I remember this happening to some of my dd’s clothes years ago. It was a reaction to something she had spilt onto her clothes, that then became more noticeable after washing - I can’t remember at all what the culprit was though ! Possibly not helped by heat ?
You need to soak the top in stain remover and wash again. Really work the stain remover into the stain.

JellyBellybutton · 22/07/2023 20:58

Only appears on kids tops in tell-tale splashes down the front? Then it's bubble mixture. Impossible to get the stains out after washing. But soaking the item in cold water before washing can stop the stains.

NewLeafAgain · 22/07/2023 20:59

Is it always down the front? Would hint at something she's eating or drinking.

Id maybe consider sticking all her stuff in a bucket of vanish powder solution for an hour or so before putting in machine.

RMurphy · 22/07/2023 21:06

It’s only doing it to her clothes. And the machine is less than a month old. It’s definitely not the machine (which is annoying as it’s under guarantee!)

Watching as this happens to us... yes the childrens clothes but also DH's, pretty sure he's not got a bubble mix addiction on the sly 🤔

RMurphy · 22/07/2023 21:09

The bubble mixture is starting to ring bells. I am trying to think back but I’m pretty sure she’s done bubbles in all those clothes. What does anyone suggest - soaking her clothes before going in the wash (sorry I’m getting excited as this might actually be the answer!!)

My old machine had something similar but not like this - that was a blocked detergent part of the tray (it used to refuse to drain too). I have a long illustrious history at being useless at washing!
