Airing cupboard management!!!

OK this is a really dim question...

All my sheets are white, egyptian cotton and fitted. By the time I've given the the Anthea treatment, apart from the SuperKing which is bulkier, how am I supposed to tell them apart?

I have a not very bright Au Pair at the moment who has caused mayhem in my normally ordered space (I bet you all fell really sorry for me now!)

When I iron, I keep the single bedlinen in one pile (kids) and the double in another (hers) and the sk in another, they are supposed to have their own spaces on the shelves, but this previously AP proof system is failing.

I unfolded 3 sheets today before I got the right size!

What do you all do?

Cali
I am also linen cupboard free here. I miss my Mum's cupboard. Really is a sign of a civilized society, that they have linen cupboards.

OK since we're on 'em (Airing Cupboard Etiquette/Politics etc)...

...I've got a lovely warm one (oops, must re-lag the cylinder...) but will be full of mahoosive spiders, I just know it. Can't bear em and spesh when you whip out a lovely clean towel from the bath and whoomf it runs all over you and then you have to douse yourself in Dettol and run naked round the garden screaming and it all goes pearshaped.

or is that just me?

Line it with something? Block all the creepy dark holes? God there MUST be a solution (perhaps I'll look on Martha Stewart again...)

Dear god, I've never started athread that has attracted so many replies!

Monkey, we have biting spiders here, nasty little critters called woodlouse spiders - when we moved in there were armies of the feckers in my airing cupboard. Vacuum.

I don't routinely kill anyting else but I have found that regular hoovering up of the blighters sorts it. Maybe they put the word round that I'm armed!

Wallace, not for storing linen (tablecloths, towels et al) a suaitably lagged tank should not make enough heat to dry much I'd have thought.

SML, I'd like an airing cupboard like that too.

Pannacotta, you're right. If you want a job done....

Mamatulip, yes that is what she was supposed to do but looks at me as if I'm nuts, so I thought I'd check out what other folk do.
