I want to do the fireplace wall of my living room in some nice wallpaper.

The room is fairly big, and the remaining walls will more than likely be cream, with chocolate leather sofas.

I like This but not sure choc brown sofas will go with it. I don't want anything too dark.

Who else has done this, and what is your paper like ?

What about cutting off large sample pieces from various diy stores. Stick them up on the feature wall first to see if you like it.
I did this and have changed my mind because I couldn't live with a whole wall of florals. I have now decided to do 2 contrasting shades of praline and paint the feature wall in the darker shade and get 2 large floral canvases from Next just to inject some colour into the room.

Yes I have just done fireplace wall in a very similar pattern but design all black on white background. It does look good and is probably the most daring thing ive ever done decorating-wise (have previously never ventured away from cream or plain white). However I do think this 'statement' wall (floral) business is just a temporary trend and I am aware it will probably look quite dated sooner rather than later. However -we are happy with it for the time being.

will look good if theres anything else to go with the aqua - get pictures for plain walls with it in, or a vase etc. arent really all that good at this stuff, i just stick it on.

would agree with going to b&q etc, tho i do like this one - theyll let you take as many samples as you want - only problem is you will keep changing your mind - is a woman thing

remembered the light brown of my feature wall - the light brown thats behind you in pic (mentioned it on the bored thread), is 'cookie dough'. rest of the walls antique cream.
have a great day, happy paper hunting, must get to work.
