How do I clean this shower head?

The rubber 'nodules' are becoming blocked. It unscrews so I can take it off. Should I soak it in white vinegar? Will that damage the chrome plating? Any advice is most appreciated!

I place the head on a flat plate and fill the head with vikadal for a few hours and then run under the tap, if any blockages are still present I use a pin to clear them.

Thanks @TomatoSandwiches I hadn't thought of that!

My DH did ours over the weekend by unscrewing it and dumping it in the kettle whilst descaling that!

Clean them with a small interdental brush

I use citric acid on my shower head

Great answers!!

What about if it has mould on? 😱

You should just be able to tweak the little rubber niblets. The limescale just kind of gets spat out. It's really satisfying. I do it while standing underneath with the water running.

I do that too! I just run my thumb nail over them and that clears the majority.

I agree with @Clarachuff. Citric acid is amazing, cheap and environmentally friendly. You can buy it in wilko, supermarkets, etc.
