Shower screen water damage retrievable ?

I want to replace our twenty year old shower cubicle. The glass is toughened plastic at a guess and it’s smeary with water marks when dry. DH is adamant it can be cleaned off but we’ve tried all sorts (viakal, vinegar, pink paste etc)and it makes it better but doesn’t bring it back to totally clear.

Is there something I’ve missed which might do it. (Ps, I don’t want to do the Halfords headlight kit), just need something easy.

Scourer and washing up liquid!
Give it a scrub and rinse - I've wasted hours using white vinegar, limescale remover, you name it. This actually works.
