Marks on induction hob

I'm not sure what has happened beyond that it was DH related but my induction hob has been marked - it almost looks like a burn?

Does anyone have any top tips to restore it to its former glory or am I just going to have to learn to live with it?

The marks are from the base of a pan that got extremely hot. It's dirt on the glass. You can use a magic sponge or Barkeeper's Friend to gently remove it. Then use very hot soapy water to clean it and buff dry with a cotton or linen cloth or E-cloth for glass.

Lakeland sell something called Hob Heaven with various texture cloths that works well. They also have plastic scrapers that don’t mark hob. I’ve sprayed and then scraped off worse marks than this so it can be sorted. Took a few goes.

Thank you, I got the marks off with pink stuff, I was just a bit wary of damaging the glass.

cif cream is also good for this

A magic sponge why didn't I think of that! Also have some pink stuff too that I could try (was a bit scared to use that originally in case it made it worse!)

Thanks all!

I've got the same problem (DS' fault!) and would like to know if any of the strategies above worked.
