Beko Fridge Freezing up

Hi.

I have a Beko free standing larder fridge model LSG3545S. Recently the back of the fridge has started to freeze up resulting in a lot of our food freezing too. Has anyone experienced this before and know what the problem might be?

I am unsure whether to have someone come out and look at it, which is a £75 call out fee, plus repairs. Or do I just buy a new fridge for £370?

Have you turned it down and/or defrosted it? Id try both of those and give it another month before spending anything.

my fridge freezer has been going a bit haywire recently with the hot weather, I just defrosted it yesterday and expect it to be fine now. It always seems that once there’s a little bit of frost inside it grows fast

We have tried both. It was on number 4/5, so I turned it down to 1 thinking it might help, but if anything it’s worse. My partner defrosted it too and it’s still bad. Might give it another go like you have suggested before spending any money on repairs/new one. Why is everything so expensive 😩

I had this. It was under guarantee so an engineer came out. There's a faulty batch out and so ours was swapped for a new one. There's a wee chip at the very bottom of the front which was getting wet due to a leak from the frame. Apparently during COVID they couldn't get the usual parts.

@LadyNellCardross I don’t think ours will be under guarantee as we’ve had it since December 2018. I wonder if it’s worth a call to Beko anyways if it might be a faulty batch.
