Steam Mops and Hardwood Flooring

I've been thinking of getting a steam mop, as I had one in the past and it was great. However, since then, we've had real wood flooring fitted to most of the downstairs. It's sealed wood.

I've googled whether or not this type of flooring can be steam cleaned, and the results are mixed with some saying yes and others saying no.

Do any of you steam mop sealed wooden floors with success?

Would be chary. Not hardwood but laminate which was badly laid so that any spills went down into the underlying chipwood (or whatever it is). Twenty five years ago so not the modern interlocking stuff. Tongue and groove that needed tons of glue and then knocking together to close up the gaps.

I complained to the manufacturer (Pergo) got the whole lot - through lounge diner and hallway - replaced at no cost to us.

Try a concealed bit first?

Hello I’m hoping for some guidance please. We have karndean flooring in our kitchen diner for around 7 years & as we have a dog it’s constantly dirty! I’m considering getting a steam mop or wet//dry cleaner or something similar as mopping it is such a chore & it never looks properly clean. Karndean websites seem to say mopping only but I wondered if anyone was successfully using one in their home & could recommend one please?
