Feel like I'm going round in circles

Does anyone else think this is cruel?

I know this is not child related.. but, well i guess it is because my kids live in this situation but I’ve had a lot of mould issues upstairs and downstairs in my council house. I’ve complained and complained for 10 years. I had problems the first year of Moving in nearly 11 years ago. There is mould in every room upstairs

So they finally agreed to put some air bricks in upstairs to help with ventilation, I’m hoping it will reduce the mould problems upstairs fingers crossed

But the damp downstairs in the kitchen is all over the ground level kitchen. The surveyor put his monitor thing on the wall and it beeped and turned red, so they said they will inject a damp proof course from the outside into the walls

BUT and this is where I have issues.. due to the mould issue the walls where black behind council kitchn, it was falling to bits so my ex ( who was abusive) ripped it out and put a second hand one he got off someone, because the council ignored my requests for them to sort it.. but due to their inability to maintain the property and due to the damp proof course failing or not having one it’s made the walls black once again so it’s made this kitchen rot too.

So I asked them to rip this out and treat the mouldy walls too, they said no coz it wasn’t their kitchen. I want mad because even though they will sort the damp proof course the walls will still need to be treated behind. So I complained again and a housing officer came to my house. I showed her pics of how bad old Kitchen was and she agreed they need to put a new kitchn in and be good news was was that they need to get rid of a ‘show kitchen’ from one of their show homes and Said it would fit perfect in my house. She also agreed to give me a new front door as mine is very old and mouldy too, and some compensation for losing so many of my possessions due to mould

Too good to be true I thought but was so happy

Until now as she’s ghosting me now and not getting back to me, it’s been 4 weeks and when I call my housing they don’t know what I’m talking about, they said none of these things are in my account. I’ve text her no response. It was never put in writing it was all verbal. I feel like now it’s all fell through and maybe she got told off for offering me this help and now is choosing to ignore me. It’s been 4 weeks and all I wanted was a date on when it will be done but no one at the call centre knows what I’m on about

They’ve sent her a message to her back
To me by Tuesday afternoon.

Isn’t it cruel for someone to offer a solution and then take it away? We have an infestation of wood louse and slugs due to the damp in the kitchen and they are actually eating through the door frames in the downstairs toilet

It’s actually affecting my mental health it’s driving me mad. The kitchen smells of rotting wood and mould it’s because the walls are mouldy.

I can’t stand it anymore
My mental health is as low as anything and if she’s gone back on her word I’ll be left like this. I can’t afford to get a new kitchen and even if they inject the damp proof course the mould will still be there until it’s treated as well!!

I actually feel suicidal at times due to this and feel guilty on my children for having to live in this state

Thanks for reading my rant

I didn’t know they had show homes. Why would they take the kitchen out of one though, presumably someone would move in?
Maybe contact environmental health, they can send someone round to assess. If they feel extra things need doing they will be able to send a report to housing. It sounds awful, I hope you can get something sorted. I’d also write/email the housing rather than phoning, that way there is a paper/email trail rather than phone calls with no proof of anything said.
