Paying a cleaner?

Hey, _
_
I’ve just been clearing some emails and came across one with a quote from a cleaning company that I contacted nearly 2 years ago when I first went back to work, at the time I must have dismissed it.

For context I’m married and have a 4 year old little girl, I work 4 days a week from home with only two days childcare. I do all of the household tasks including shopping, cooking, washing etc as well as cleaning. I also support my Dad with some things and my patents in law (not loads if I’m honest it’s more of the mental load) I just can’t keep on top of the house & it’s a constant source of stress and resentment.

The quote was for an initial deep clean which was £150 and a fortnightly 2 hour clean of £31. We have a small 2 bed 1 bath so I think they could probably make quite a dent in it in 2 hours & there are definitely things I could cut back on to be able to afford this?

What do you think, does anyone else have some help?

Are you able to keep it clean and tidy between cleans or does it just cause more stress?

I feel like such a failure that I’m not one of these incredible ladies that we see on social media with their immaculate houses, but honestly after 15 years of trying I just don’t think I can?

I have a cleaner 2 hours a week. She does the kitchen, down stairs toilet, bathroom and en-suite. The. I just have to tidy and hoover the others rooms which are a lot less work. I do always think if the money and often feel bad…./but actually it has made the week so much easier for me!! However Inthink you need to plan the clean in for the part of the week that works best for you.
