I looked online and it says to check the manufacturers guidelines. Trouble is they were fitted by a man about 20 years ago and if i ever got a care booklet, which i doubt, its long since disappeared.
They aren't fancy, they are in desperate need of a clean. I was thinking of getting new ones but i can't afford that.

Does anyone was theirs in the machine?

I wouldn’t risk it tbh.

I'd take the blades off and wash them in the bath

You could try the dishwasher? That is I know great for all sorts of things and hasn’t got a circular motion like a washing machine.

alternatively, a scrubbing brush in the garden followed by a hose.

I washed mine. On a very quick cool wash . They were fine and came out very clean !

I've washed mine in the washing machine.

Fold them over loosely, in half or thirds. Secure with an elastic band at each end and the middle iirc. Put them inside a pillow case and put on a delicate wash. You might get some creases but hang them up straight out of the machine and the creases will eventually fall out.
