The black harpic overnight is supposed to do the trick. I've heard of people using a bottle of coke before too.
Failing that maybe remove the water with a plastic party cup and try a pumice stone.

Definitely cola overnight, couple of litres of the cheapest one you can find should do it!

Demestos zero limescale. A load of it in there leave it for as long as you can (12 hours mininum) then toilet brush. It made my toilets thst were black with limescale look brand new. Its like £2 in wilko.

Use toilet brush to plunge the water down then black harpic.

Harpic in a black bottle. Leave overnight and then use a loo brush on it in the morning.

Black Harpic also works wonders around the base of taps and around plug holes. It eats the limescale away Smile

I tried it round the edge of basin taps once. It damaged the chromed finish, so maybe I left it on too long, but take care with that tip.

Push down all the water in the u-bend with the loo brush and then fill the u-bend with black harpic and leave as long as possible.

Citric acid worked for me. Have also used black harpic in past.
