Hi

Any interior designers out there?!

Just off to buy fabric for curtains...

Got new sitting room to do, but has 3 windows (argh!), sitting room has French windows, one ordinary sized and another with a radiator underneath.

Can't really stand sill length curtains anyway and would look a bit odd to have two lengths on one wall I think since the French windows are on the same wall as the ordinary window... The window with the radiator is on the other wall

So do I do two sets of floor length and one sill/radiator length or 3 sets of floor length and just faff about tucking curtains behind the radiator...

I couldnt be doing with the faff of tucking the curtains behind the radiator so I would have 2 long and one short.

Do you MAKE curtains?

I wish I could.

I do but I'm not very expert (they never look quite as good as ready made or custom made ones) - it's pretty easy if you can use a sewing machine (ie all there is is to sew straight lines!)

The tricky bits are cutting fabric (you need a big table or clean floor), trimming corners and working out fabric amounts IMHO. But once you've done it once you'll never want to pay the ridiculous amount other curtains cost!

Yes, I think your instinct is right about the tucking...
