Kitchen appliance nightmare

Having a right old time of it at the moment. Tumble dryuer stopped midcycle now refusing to turn on again. Tonight my washing machine wont turn on. They are both Indesit and about 8 months old. Ive checked the fuse box, fuses in the plugs n theres no fluff or anything caught by the drums etc. Has anybody got any other ideas of things i could try? And as its still in the 12 months garentee will i have to pay for any repairs?

are they plugged into the same socket?

no they arent, they are either side of the sink

could have over heated ,if so there is a small red button on the back.If you push it in and it makes a click then that was the problemo.If not then that's not the problem.

I must have a really strange tumble dryer, cant find a reset button on it anywhere. thanks for the suggestion ggirl

plug in something else to check the sockets are ok

BTW you really should have circuits breakers on your distribution board. our house is over 100 yeras old and we dont have fuses! not that i'm an expert

Kristina your a darling!!! just plugged my cd player in both and it wont turn on. I dont know why i didnt think of that. Probably as it would be just my luck for things 2 go wrong as im getting things sorted. I dont know bout the circuit breakers i know ive got fuses on the distribution board.

Think i might have to cancel the repairman for tumble dryer now lol look like a right idiot never mind though. Really glad ive got a council house or id have to pull in favours 2 get the sockets fixed.
