Brabantia ironing board help

Hoping someone can help please!

Our ironing board has a life of its own when you try to put it up or down. Excuse the poor description… The bit that holds the legs in place at a particular height, which is graduated, feels like it’s flappy/loose, like it’s lost some sort of catch/spring. It’s fine when it’s up, and is supported by the weight of the board, but as soon as you try to put it up/down, it flies about all over the place! Any help much appreciated. I have hurt my wrists one too many times. And as much as I hate ironing I do have to do it sometimes! I’ve attached photos. Hopefully there’s a replacement part I can buy, but I’ve looked on the brabantia site and nothing looks quite right. And I didn’t register it when I bought it, so I don’t think it’s under warranty.

Does it click into place then flip out?

I think you’re missing a spring - if you look at mine, there’s one on the lever that controls the locking bar?

And also mine has a catch to keep it together when folded up?

Thanks all. Yes looks like I’m missing something on mine. How that disappeared I’ll never know 🙈

I’d contact Brabantia, they sell parts.
