Washing is never clean!

I have a 2 year old. She's obviously a messy eater and quite petite so the mealtime bibs gape around her neck.
My washing machine is rubbish. It works but it doesn't get anything clean!
For example, yesterday she had an apple whilst I was grocery shopping. She had yellow stains on the neckline and on her jacket. I scrubbed it with vanish bar soap, put vanish stain remover spray on it, left it a bit and then put it in the washing machine. Used detergent and in the machine I also put a scoop of vanish oxi powder.
The stain is STILL THERE. I've just bought her some summer clothes (basic tshirts, leggings, dresses) and everytime she wears something there's a stain that just won't budge.
It's so bloody frustrating and I can't scrub every single thing by hand before putting it in the machine.
Any advice?

I wash at 40, and yes the sun bleaches out some stains but not all.

If you are talking about whites, the difference between a 60 degree wash and a 40 degree was with bio detergent is really noticeable.

If you have people with allergies, you just will have to wash it twice - once with the bio and then with the non-bio.

No point in doing this - just do an extra rinse after the wash
