Anyone know if I can use sugar soap around pets?

I am going to be washing my walls down with sugar soap before painting as they’re very grubby at the moment.

I have tried to find information online about whether it is safe to use around my cats. I would shut them out while scrubbing anyway but wondering whether they can be let in again or how long they’d need to be banished for.

Has anyone with dogs or cats used sugar soap?

I use it in my house when I'm decorating and I have a dog. I've never even thought it might be a problem tbh - I doubt they should drink the stuff neat, but they're not going to be licking the walls and there's no fumes or anything.

Keep the cat away when applying it and rinsing it.
Let the cat in when you've finished.
