The softest white bedding?

WildFlowerBees · 13/05/2023 09:56

I need some crisp white but oh so soft bedding that's made from natural fibres.

We currently have bamboo which I love but the bloody cats have ruined it with their claws.

Can anyone suggest anything that might suit.

A proper white not off white
Natural fibre so doesn't make me overheat at night.

Really really soft.

Thank you

High thread count Egyptian cotton.
DH and I stayed in a hotel , the bedding was gorgeous and cloud soft . Bought our own when we got home ( IIRC Costco)

Nightmare to iron though (so I didn't ) Blush

The White Company do really lovely white natural bedding

impressivelycunty · 13/05/2023 20:59

White Company - last forever.

Whichnumbers · 13/05/2023 21:09

how can it be crisp and soft at the same time?

True! I meant in colour, some whites are off white not a true crisp winter white if that makes sense. I'll look at the White Company.

I wouldn't recommend white company. Their quality has gone right down hill. Our last set of sheets lasted two years.

PlumPeony · 13/05/2023 21:15

Linen bedding!

gettingolderbutcooler · 13/05/2023 21:25

My fave is la redoute organic cotton bedding.
It's soft, gorgeous!

MarpleFan · 13/05/2023 21:36

We have some linen bedding from Piglet in Bed. Not cheap but it’s the best I have ever had - super soft and keeps me cool.

elm26 · 13/05/2023 21:47

I have been on the hunt for some super soft bed sets for ages and I ordered this in the blush pink, oh my god! It is the softest, comfiest, most lovely bedsheets I've ever slept on/with! So much so I've got back on to order the sage green and the grey so I can alternate between the 3 sets and bugger the rest of mine off 😂

Interesting about linen bedding, I thought it just got softer through washing.

We have high thread count sheets from Dusk and they are like silk

galadrielelfqueen · 13/05/2023 21:51

Soak and Sleep 600TC cotton is nice, cheaper than White Co and there are always discount codes to be had.

I don't rate S&S Linen bedding though, prefer White Co for linen bedding.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 13/05/2023 21:58

That's not natural fibres though it's (from the webpage)

Material: Durable soft breathable 100% brushed polyester washed linen fabric.

There used to be a company called Brentford Nylons back in the 1970s (I am old) I wonder if this is the same company with a rebranded name ?

PlumPeony · 14/05/2023 14:50

I think linen bedding is bit stiffer when straight from wash, but it gets softer quick. I wouldn't go back to cotton bedding anymore, linen ones are bit more pricier but definitely worth it.

WildFlowerBees · 14/05/2023 15:09

I'm looking at linen but no idea which ones to go for, any recommendations? Looking at piglet in bed currently as per pp.

The one I like the most is from eve (that does mattresses) , over 3 years on still feels great.

vjg13 · 14/05/2023 17:41

I have had two 1000 thread count white bedding sets from John Lewis and they were very expensive but absolutely excellent. I have cheaper M&S set (not sure of thread count maybe 600) and it is very good.

PlumPeony · 14/05/2023 20:13

Piglet in bed looks actually quite good, reviews on John lewis are good. I might try of theirs as need to buy new one.

NotABeliever · 14/05/2023 20:18

Highly recommend www.linenfabrics.co.uk for linen bedlinen and www.westelm.co.uk for superior quality
